Hamburger Run 2012
Start: Saturday, March 31st, 2012
Finish: Easter Monday, April 9th, 2012
Note: It is entirely up to you – there are no hard and fast rules – you can start and stop, join in, pull out, whenever you want.
Accommodation Once again, your responsibility. I have listed a choice or two below in each centre. If anyone has any hotels/motels etc. they can recommend, please let me know. It would be more fun if we were altogether . I have spoken with the manager of those listed and they are all keen to give a discount if you mention “The Mini Run”.
The purpose of this email is to put the word out there that planning is under way. John and Dee , Vic and Joy have confirmed an interest and I am keen to hear from any others that may like to join “The Hamburger Run 2012”.
We look forward to ten days of driving these great little cars, good scenery, fun, laughter and the chance to get together of an evening to partake in ‘whatever turns your crank’. I will source local attractions and would appreciate any input.
The Proposed Itinerary is:
I have had the Jason’s guide out and the following are suggestions. The only booking we have made to date is in New Plymouth, at the Northgate Motor Lodge, being it is Easter Saturday and Sunday.

- Saturday, March 31st, 2012: Muster at Bombay BP Service Centre at 9am ready for a 9.15am departure for Ohope.
- Sunday, April 1st: Depart Ohope for Gisborne via the East Cape.
- Monday, April 2nd: Depart Gisborne for Napier.
- Tuesday, April 3rd: Rest day in Napier. Sleep in, sightsee, shop, whatever, the day is yours.
- Wednesday, April 4th: Napier to Masterton
- Thursday, April 5th: Another day to sit back and take it easy. Enjoy the local sites or whatever.
- Friday, April 6th: Depart Masterton and head for Wanganui.
- Saturday, April 7th: Depart Wanganui for New Plymouth
- Sunday, April 8th: Rest day.
- Monday, April 9th: Leave New Plymouth for home.
