Hamilton Classic Car Festival

Sunday 1st December 2013
Having had a brief visit to the new Classic museum during the Pork Pie Run, we were keen to go back sometime to explore it further. This was our opportunity!
The 1st Hamilton Classic Car Festival was an event not to be missed. This was not your usual park up and sit around display - the Museum provided an interlude to the waiting. This facility is a fantastic addition to Hamilton and the displays can be easily altered to suit the event. When we visited during the Pork Pie Run, it was almost wall to wall Minis inside. This time, a wide variety of makes and models, young and old. Everyone needs to visit the museum at least once.
Outside, what a wonderful selection of cars there were being displayed. Something to satisfy any enthusiast's interest. Of course, there were plenty of Minis there and the local Club put on a great display. We loved the "Race, Rally and Road' display!
There were no 'best of" competitions to be won so we could just "enjoy" the event. I'm sure that next year it will be bigger and better and it is marked in our 2014 calendar already!
